THE IDS FACULTY

FIONA LUCA – DIRECTOR

Dip. Dance Teaching and Management
Bachelor of Contemporary Arts

Director, Fiona Luca‘s, dancing path began as a young 3 year old, focusing on Jazz, Tap, Classical and Musical Theatre. Completing a 3 year Bachelor of Contemporary Arts, major in Dance and delving into Melbourne’s commercial dance scene as both a dancer and choreographer, Fiona ventured abroad in her early 20’s, to follow her ultimate dream as a dancer.

Overseas credits both live and on screen as dancer, teacher, choreographer and co-director of ‘Salsa Invasion’ in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, lead her to a 9 month contract in Cyprus as a Supervisor and choreographer for an Entertainments Company, which saw her travel all over Cyprus and the Greek Islands collaborating performance teams and shows for 5 star hotel resorts.

Fiona returned to Australia in late 2005, satisfied and eager to open Infinite Dance Studios and share with Geelong her broad experience and passion for her first love!

Fiona’s focus as director of Infinite Dance Studios is to provide her students with the experience and tuition they need to see them through to careers in the industry or purely to allow them to develop the same love for dance she has been so fortunate to experience….and to create a dance institution in Geelong that allows talented dancers an opportunity to be exposed to the some of the industries finest!

Away from Infinite Dance Studios, Fiona loves spending quality time with her family, 1 year old Leilani and husband Jesse Kingsbury.
